The month of May 2025 is all about the Rab Nature Challenge for trail runners and other outdoor enthusiasts!
Join us and challenge yourself to spend 100, 250, 500 or 1000 km in nature during the entire month of May. Whether you prefer to do this while running or walking is completely up to you.
The Rab Nature Challenge starts on the first of May.
Complete your challenge together, receive your medal, and share this achievement with each other
During previous editions we noticed that participants like to share beautiful, difficult and fun moments with each other. After all, you’re all committed to a similar challenge. That is why we are organizing the Nature Challenge Closing Event on May 31!
We have set out two beautiful loops of approximately 8 km for you at Landgoed Stakenberg (Elspeet, Gelderland). It is possible to start these loops from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM to complete your Nature Challenge. It is up to you which loop(s) you want to run. It is of course also possible to complete these loops multiple times if, for example, you still have to cover 30 km on that day.
We will of course be present with an aid station and the necessary encouragement! Have you completed your Nature Challenge? Then we can immediately give you your well-deserved Nature Challenge medal.
In the week before the start of the Nature Challenge 2024, all participants will receive an invitation to this exclusive event. It is only possible for Nature Challenge participants to order a ticket for this event. This ticket only costs 10 euros! It will be a special, pleasant and festive day!
More information about the Nature Challenge 2025 can be found on the event website. You also have the opportunity to register there!

Chris van Beem was the first to successfully complete the 1000 km Nature Challenge. This did not go without any setbacks, but his experience was absolutely amazing.
Here you find a short Dutch documentary about the first ever Nature Challenge. Despite the fact that the documentary is in Dutch, the visuals will probably give you an accurate impression of his intense journey.
The progress you make is automatically tracked via Challenge Hound. On this platform you have a clear insight into your statistics and the progress of your fellow participants. Because this platform visualizes your progress at a glance, this is extremely motivating.
