    What is the Nature Challenge?

The main goal of the Nature Challenge is challenging yourself to spend as much time in nature as possible during the month of May. It is on you to choose the challenge that suits you best; 10, 25, 50 or 100 hours. When, and in what company, you want to spend these hours in nature is entirely up to you. This is because our Challenge-app can register your kilometers and hours directly when on the trails. As an alternative, it is also possible to upload your data from your watch or handheld afterwards. When we confirm that you completed the Nature Challenge successfully, the unique Nature Challenge Medal will be delivered to your doorstep. This medal will help you to cherish those beautiful moments in nature you experienced!

Since runners and hikers move at a different pace, there is a distinct RUNNING and HIKING Nature Challenge. Both challenges have their own set of rules and their own unique medal.

The Nature Challenge Application is used to track the traveled distance together with the associated time of all participants. Therefore, this app provides the organization with the information needed to send the successful participants their well-deserved Nature Challenge medal.

Participants can use the application to directly register their activities on the trails. When the application is not used to track time and distance, it is also possible to add the required information afterwards. To do this, the participants can use their own login to upload their routes in a GPX format into their own digital environment.

    As an extra feature…
All Nature Challenge participants will be able to find each other via the app and when they use the app to directly track their activities, their friends will be able to follow them in real-time. Thereby, while they are tracking their activities, the app will show all other participants who are also being active in nature at that moment.
Also; the better a participant does, the higher their name will appear on the online ranking!

Part of Nature Chalenge’s returns  will be donated to We Plant New Trees. Because of this, your hours in nature will help all of us to enjoy nature as long as we possibly can.

    The first!

Chris van Beem was the first to successfully complete the 100UDDN (100 hours through nature) Nature Challenge. This did not go without any setbacks, but his experience was absolutely amazing.

Here you find a short Dutch documentary about the first ever Nature Challenge. Despite the fact that the documentary is in Dutch, the visuals will probably give you an accurate impression of his intense journey.
