The route of the Leersumse Veld Ultra will run entirely over natural paths with the necessary elevation meters. We go from Leersum to Amerongen and ensure that you experience the most beautiful paths and places. This route was created by (ultra) trail enthusiasts, who train a lot in this beautiful area.

Challenging paths, beautiful views, many single tracks over heathland and through forests, with significant elevation gain, this Ultra has it all.

Practical information

During the Leersumse Veld Ultra we depart from Ginkelduin Estate, in the middle of nature. There are many options to travel to this beautiful park with the family.

Unique area on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug

Starting from the beautiful Leersumse Veld, you will get a lot of variety in single tracks, sand paths and forest paths. Beautiful nature in an unique area on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug.

Start: 09:00 AM.
You navigate using a GPX file. The file will be made available 3 days before the event.
3-4 aid stations.
Time limit: Finish before 05:00 PM.
There are NO plastic cups available, so provide your own cup/bottle. It is possible to purchase a Trail Running Racecup from the competition secretariat on the day of the event.
This Ultra has an unique Leersumse Veld Ultra medal (optional).

Recreation park Molencaten Ginkelduin is our partner at the Leersumse Veld Ultra. There is ample parking at the park, so follow route P. Feel free to take your time before and after your participation in our trail, the Molecaten Ginkelduin team is ready to welcome you.

De Leersumse Veld Ultra is part of the DUS2024

Trail Events organizes an ultra every last weekend of the month. These 12 ultras together form the Dutch Ultra Series (DUS).

Do you run 1, 2, or 3 ultras each quarter? Then by the end of the year, you will have earned the gold, silver, or bronze DUS2024 medal, respectively!

The DUS2024 is a challenge not everyone can conquer. Yet, there are still many participants in the race for 2024!
