The Kempenland Trail

The Kempen is a beautifully varied area. Our partner TerSpegelt is located on the edge of this area. All distances depart from the Natuurpoort Parking, heading directly into the woods.

We take you along narrow paths through unique fens. Forests, heaths, and sandy tracks are just a few of the different nature settings that you will experience. With distances from 7 to 25km, this is a suitable challenge for many different trail running enthusiasts.

Just follow the arrows

You can choose from 7, 13, 21 or 30 km Trails, with the start and finish located directly at the edge of the forest. Every season has special colors and the area alternates between sand and mud paths. At the borders of the various forests you will find beautiful expanses of moorland. You can spend hours here without encountering anyone.

Recreation park TerSpegelt

Our partner is located in the middle of De Kempen. You can combine this event with a fun sporty weekend. There are many possibilities in the park itself and you can spend hours in the surrounding nature.

The Kempenland Trail has Recreation Park TerSpegelt as a partner. The participants can enjoy the hospitality Brabant is known for. A beautiful location on the edge of nature.

All distances come back to the aid station after each loop
There are no cups available, so bring your own reusable race cup. (If you do not have a race cup, it is possible to purchase a reusable Trail Running race cup from the race secretariat on the day of the event)
Two days before the event, participants will receive an email with all the information needed to be well prepared at the start

The loops of the Kempenland Trail

The routes of the Kempenland Trail consists of 3 unique loops. All participants start at the very end of the Blue loop. From here, participants run along a beautiful and playful path towards the aid station. From there the different distances run their own loops. After each loop the route returns to the aid station. All routes end their trail with the second half of the Blue loop, back towards the finish.

13.7km: Blue + Green loop
18.6km: Blue + Red loop
25km: Blue + Red loop + Green loop

About the Kempenland Trail

It is very close to Belgium, but the Kempen is still located in Brabant. Beautiful routes across the heath, through the forest, along meandering streams, maybe they even cross the border for a bit?

The Kempen has a rich history. Napoleon left his mark on the Cartierheide. The woods were the domain of smugglers, and peddlers walked along the sandy paths with their merchandise in a basket on their backs. This landscape is full of stories.

At this Trail Event, there are 4 different distances to choose from. All routes take you through the Carierheide and give you a good idea of this unique area.

If you want to actively explore this beautiful area, this is your chance. All participants can count on good care along the trails. For medal lovers, the Kempenland Trail also has its own unique Medal.
