Many trail runners have been surprised by the enormous diversity that this area has to offer. The routes take you along single tracks and forest paths. You walk along open plains and straight through the Dutch heath. You will also most likely meet the permanent residents, who exist freely within a large protected area. You will find, among other animals, beautiful brown highlanders and sheep.
The 11km trail gives you a good impression of the area. Climbs and loose sand are part of your route. The 24km trail goes an extra 13km round which starts at 6km, all the way to the very tip of the area.
A beautiful trail, you just have to experience this at least once.
The Anthonis Trail routes run through the state-forests of Sint Anthonis. The start is situates at the Natuurpoort on the very edge of the woods.
Our hospitality partner “De Heksenboom” will be opened. A great reason to travel to the location a little early to enjoy their delicious foods and beverages.
The Trails
You can choose an 11km or a 24km trail. All participants will pass by the aid-station situated in the middle of the woods. For the 24km participants, the aid-station will be the starting point of their extra 13km loop, this loop will return to this aid-station for a second moment of recovery. After this aid-station, everyone will run across beautiful single tracks, special heathland and sandy paths back to the start/finish point; “De Natuurpoort”.
The start and finish will be situated at the parking lot of “De Natuurpoort” (meaning: the nature gate) at the entrance to the woods of Sint Anthonis. There is sufficient parking space for participants, but please consider carpooling all the same. Sint Anthonis is a maximum of 1 hour 15 minutes from Utrecht, 1 hour 15 minutes from Breda and 45 minutes from Eindhoven.
It is possible to reserve a place at the nature campsite.
