At the time when the BUT100 will be organised, nature will turn green again. The vast nature reserve between Belgium, Leende, Valkenswaard and Eindhoven will be the setting of this special Ultra Trail. In addition to a large medal, finishers also receive UTMB Index points. For the 50km finishers will receive 2 index points and for the 100km 3 index points.
Running for hours surrounded by beautiful nature, beautiful hours by yourself, on your way back to civilization.
The Brabantse Ultra Trail (BUT100) is an event in which the participants run at least 50km. The BUT100 has 2 unique loops (North – South) and the start/finish will be in the middle of those loops. When you choose to run the 100km distance, you will return to our Base-Camp, so you will be able to get ready for the 2nd and final loop.
You will run across the Groote Heide, which stretches between Eindhoven – Valkenswaard – Achel (Belgium) – Soerendonk – Leende – and Heeze. There will be lots of single tracks and a lot of beautiful natural settings. A crew of Ultra Trailrunners will stand by you all day.
In addition to the BUT100, we have 2 other Ultra Events with a Base Camp at the center, following the same concept. The UHUT100 at the Utrechtse Heuvelrug and the VUT100 at the Veluwe.
These Ultra Events are specials. More and more trail running enthusiasts want to run an Ultra Trail and preferably among many other experienced Ultra Trail runners. The routes of the 50km are the same as those of the 100km. This makes you a part of the event as a whole. You will experience the unique atmosphere and you are thereby provided with all the care and guidance you need to complete your journey.
We keep these events small with a maximum of 200 participants.
You can find the photo album of the BUTT100 2022 edition online via the link below.
The BUT100 area has been Chris van Beem’s training grounds for over 10 years. You are guaranteed to come across the most beautiful trails in the area. You will realize that the Groote Heide is huge (which explains the name, as “goote” actually means “big”). This 100km will be partly in the same area as the 100 Miler we are currently organizing. This 100 miler will also come across the Groote Heide, whereafter the routes run trough the Strabrechtse Heide all the way up to De Pan near Someren (this new PUB160 cannot be booked yet).
We start in the middle of nature. Below you will find some practical information about the BUT100. You can easily stay at our partner Hotel Jagerhorst, the start and finish will be on their grounds.
All participants who want to run a 50km Ultra Trail can choose the North Loop early in the morning, which goes towards Eindhoven, or the South Loop in the afternoon, which goes towards the Belgium border.
The 100km Ultra Trail participants start early on the North Loop and after the first loop they will pass trough the Base Camp whereafter the 2nd South Loop starts. This way, 100km runners will be able to run the second loop together with a participant who covers the 50km distance!
With the LIVE tracking tool, teams can plan this easily.
Partner Hotel Jagershorst is located along the A2 at the bottom of the exit towards Valkenswaard and on the edge of the Leenderbossen.
The Hotel is beautifully situated in the middle of the Groote Heide.
Hotel Jagershorst is approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes from Utrecht, 45 minutes from Breda, 50 minutes from Maastricht and only 10 minutes from Eindhoven.
Parking is possible on the grounds of the hotel. Do not park the car on the road, but in the designated areas.
