The Rab Nature Challenge Closing Event

During previous editions of the Rab Nature Challenge we noticed that participants like to share beautiful, difficult and fun moments with each other. After all, you’re all committed to the same challenge. That is why we are organizing the Rab Nature Challenge Closing Event on June 30!

Complete your challenge together, receive your medal, and share this achievement with each other

    What to expect?

We have set out two beautiful loops of approximately 8 km for you at Landgoed Stakenberg (Elspeet, Gelderland). It is possible to start these loops from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM to complete your Rab Nature Challenge. It is up to you which loop(s) you want to run. It is of course also possible to complete these loops multiple times if, for example, you still have to cover 30 kilometers on that final day.

Trail Events will of course be present with an aid station and the necessary encouragement! Have you completed your Rab Nature Challenge? Then we can immediately give you your well-deserved Rab Nature Challenge medal.

Do you want to join this event?

This event is exclusive to participants of the Rab Nature Challenge

In the week before the start of the Rab Nature Challenge 2024, all participants will receive an invitation to this exclusive event. It is only possible for participants of the Rab Nature Challenge to order a ticket for this event. This ticket only costs 10 euros! It will be a special, pleasant and festive day!

Do you want to be here? You can participate in the Rab Nature Challenge by subscribing via the Rab Nature Challenge page. Take a look, there is a suitable challenge for every runner or hiker.

What is the Rab Nature Challenge?

The Rab Nature Challenge challenges you to be as active as possible in nature during the month of June. You choose what is a feasible challenge for you; 100, 250, 500 or 1000 km. Your distances and times are automatically recorded via Challenge Hound (or you can upload them later from your watch or handheld). When you complete this challenge, you will be rewarded with the unique Nature Challenge medal that will be delivered to your home, or handed out to you during the Rab Nature Challenge Closing Event.

Since there is a difference in pace between runners and hikers, there is a Rab Nature Challenge for RUNNING and a Rab Nature Challenge for HIKING. These challenges each have their own rules and their own medal. The big difference is that with RUNNING the distance is decisive for achieving the Challenge, and with HIKING the duration is decisive.

These are the rules for the Rab Nature Challenge RUNNING

    • Run 100km, 250km, 500km, or 1000km in the month of June
    • The distance is leading here, how many hours it takes you has no influence on achieving your Challenge
    • Your kilometers are automatically tracked because your Garmin Connect, Strava, or similar account is linked to the Challenge Hound platform
    • All meters you run outside count for your challenge, including the kilometers on asphalt (treadmill does not count)
    • When you complete your Challenge, the Rab Nature Challenge Running medal will arrive in your mailbox, or you will receive it during the Rab Nature Challenge Closing Event

These are the rules for the Rab Nature Challenge HIKING

    • Spend 10 hours, 25 hours, 50 hours, or 100 hours on the trails during the month of June
    • Time is leading here, how many kilometers you travel has no influence on achieving your Challenge
    • Your time is automatically tracked because your Garmin Connect, Strava, or similar account is linked to the Challenge Hound platform
    • All time spent walking outside counts, even when walking on asphalt (treadmill does not count)
    • When you complete your Challenge, the Rab Nature Challenge Hiking medal will arrive in your mailbox, or you will receive it during the Rab Nature Challenge Closing Event

The progress you make is automatically tracked via Challenge Hound. On this platform you have a clear insight into your statistics and the progress of your fellow participants. Because this platform visualizes your progress at a glance, this is extremely motivating.
